Dorthy Smith

Dorthy is survived by her daughter Darlene Smith; and her son Jeff Smith (Brandi); her grandchildren Dakota Smith, Madisen Smith and Brad Helms, her great grandchildren Mark Smith (Krista), Erin Davis and Joe Hall (Kandi), Rosie Iraland, Shounda Stebbins, Kayla Helms, Jacob Helms and Josie Dean, several great great grandchildren, several nieces & nephews .

Dorthy was preceded in death by her son Billy Ray Smith Jr. and her daughter Brenda Smith; her granddaughter Lacie Smith, her parents Harold Lloyd and Catherine Baggett; her brothers Jack Lloyd and Gene Lloyd, her sister Evelyn Clayton.

Funeral services for Dorthy will be Monday, September 23, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Gray Brown Service Mortuary with Bo Honea officiating. Burial will follow at Coldwater Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friend one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Smith, Richard Clayton, Jeremy Clayton, Colby Doyle, Joe Hall, Dontavious Johnson and honorary pallbearers will be Dakota Smith, Mark Smith, Keith Smith and Cregg Smith.

Dorthy was lifelong resident of Calhoun County. She attended school in Oxford and attended New Haven Baptist Church and Eulaton Methodist Church. She retired from Anniston Sportswear after 43 years of service. Dorthy loved her Lord, family and Gospel music.
