

Funeral services for Douglas M. Harbin, 75 of Pell City, formerly of Anniston will be Friday at 2:30 at Gray Brown Service Mortuary with Rev. Travis Bittle and Rev. Carl Armstrong officiating. Burial will follow at Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. Mr. Harbin passed away Monday in Pell City.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years Geraldine Harbin, daughter Deana Vaughn (Stanley) of Ohatchee, son Bryan Harbin of Pell City and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Harbin is preceded in death by his parents Charles J. and Emma Pauline Harbin, three sisters and two brothers.
Pallbearers will be Neil Clay, David Talley, Tony Coalson, Perry Bittle, Randall James, Ray Bittle.
Mr. Harbin was a native of Calhoun County and a resident of Pell City. He retired from Monsanto after 33 years of service. He was a Godly man and a deacon at Stemley Baptist Church where he enjoyed working for the Lord. He was an Alabama Fan and was admired by all who meet him. He was a loving husband and daddy whom will be greatly missed. One of my daddy’s saying was “To God be the Glory”.
