Earl Comer

Funeral Service for, Mr. Earl Gray Comer, 83 of Oxford, AL will be at Chapel Hill Funeral Home at 2 pm Wednesday, May 25, 2022 with Bro. Tim Jarmon and Rev. David Haynes officiating. Visitation for friends will be one hour prior to service in the Chapel. He will be laid to rest at Post Oak Springs Baptist Cemetery.

Mr. Comer was born November 14, 1938 and passed away on May 22, 2022 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Joyce Comer; son, Ricky Comer; grandchildren, Carson Comer, Anna Rose Comer and his long time special friend, Alan Williams.

He is preceded in death by his son, Rodney Comer; his parents, Holley Monroe and Pearl Comer; sisters, Juanita McGinnis and Charlotte Bigbee; brothers, Lynwood Comer, Pete Comer and 3 infant brothers.

Pallbearers will be Allen McDonald, Lynn Comer, Larry Wayne Smith, Cameron Lemons, Andrew Haynes and Randy Watson. Honorary Pallbearers are Lin Bridges and Milton Daugherty.

Earl was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending his time with his family and working on farm tractors and other equipment. He was a loving husband, father, brother and friend. He was a joy to be around and will be greatly missed.
