Funeral service for Edward Leon Nunnally, 77, of Anniston, will be 2 p.m., Thursday, January 3, 2013, at Gray Brown-Service. Entombment will follow at Forestlawn Mausoleum. The family will receive friends this evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Nunnally died Sunday afternoon at Stringfellow Hospital.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Rita Nunnally; daughter, Tammy Nunnally; sons, Edward Nunnally Jr. and Tim Nunnally; grandchildren, Kory Nunnally and Sierra Nunnally; sister, Shirley McDonald and husband, Tommy and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Nunnally is preceded in death by his infant son, Peter Nunnally; brothers, Lewis, Billy Gray and Rev. Jimmie Lee Nunnally and parents, Floyd and Emma Nunnally.
Mr. Nunnally was a longtime resident of Anniston and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of Word Alive and will be missed by all. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Word Alive in Oxford.
