Eugene Denson Greene

It is with great joy for him and great sadness for us that the family announces the home going of our beloved father and paw paw. Eugene Denson Greene. He went home to be with his precious Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, January 16th, 2026. He passed peacefully at his home. Born November 4th, 1938, he was most blessed and full of years. Funeral services will be at Gray Brown Service Mortuary on Wednesday, January 21st at 1pm, with viewing one hour prior to the service. God blessed him to be able to see 4 generations of his descendants born. Denise, Amorelle, Alexia and Ronin.

Survivors include his daughter, Denise Hicks of Anniston, son Adam Greene (Dennise) of Phenix City, AL, and brother James Greene of Anniston. 16 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, 14 great, great grandchildren. Many other extended family members. As well as a very special friend, Lynda Story.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Billie Howell Greene, daughter, LaNita Eason, sons Denson Matthew Greene and Aubrey Greene. Father Julius Greene, mother, Alice Key, Sisters, Rachael Burt and Martha Hayes.

Mr. Greene was a man of strong faith, character, love for his family, and work ethic. A very skilled and gifted craftsman, he had multiple careers including retirement from civil service at Anniston Army Depot and Ft. Benning, GA. He worked full time till he was 79. He was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and loved singing in the choir. Now he is singing in the heavenly choir at the feet of Jesus.
