

Funeral services for Frances Virginia Farmer, 88, of Anniston will be Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at 11:00 at Gray Brown Service Mortuary with Rev. Tom Clark officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Farmer passed away Sunday, July 16, 2017 in Anniston.
Survivors include her daughters Patricia Hudson, Darlene Hawkins (Rick), Pamela Gardner (William), adopted daughter Loujean McLendon, step-daughter Myra Baird and step-son C.W. Farmer (Melissa), 21 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Mrs. Farmer is preceded in death by her parents Rev. C.O. & Willie Goodwin, husband Russell Alderson, Husband Fred Farmer Sr., son’s Paul Venon Goodwin, Jerre Alderson, daughters Debra Harris, Sarah Matikonis, step-son Fred Farmer Jr., brothers Olander Smith and Roy Talley.
Pallbearers will be William D. Gardner Jr., James Walker, Donnie Lewis, Lowell Jennings, Christopher Alderson, Dustin Steward. Honorary Pallbearers will be Tim Linville, Mike Stamey, Jonathan Davis and grandchildren.
Mrs. Farmer was a longtime resident of Calhoun County. She was a member of North Ledbetter Baptist Church. She was gold star mother who loved gospel music and singing, reading, crossword puzzles and loved “playing in the dirt” with her beautiful flowers. She was a kind and loving person who was loved by everyone that met her. She will be greatly missed.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.
