Fred M. Murray

Funeral service for Mr. Fred M. Murray, 84, of Anniston, will be 11:00 am, Saturday, August 14, 2010, at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary with Rev. Martin Wayne Murray officiating. Burial will follow at Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends this evening at 6-8pm at the funeral home. Mr. Murray died Wednesday morning at his residence.

Survivors include: two sons, Carl Murray and wife Deborah and Clark Murray and wife Sherri both of Anniston; six grandchildren, Carmen Henry, Leslie Murray, Jamie Horne, Cassie Murray, Tyler Murray, and Anna Murray; five great grandchildren, Tanis Henry, Logan Miller, Harley Murray, Kaylan Miller, and Jamison Horne and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Murray is preceded in death by his wife, Peggy McGill Murray and son, Craig Murray.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Murray, Joshua Bullock, Keith Peek, Danny Miller, Phillip Decker, and Jack Catlett.

Mr. Murray was a native of Calhoun County and retired from Anniston Army Depot. He was in the Marine Corp during World War II. He was a member of New Canaan Baptist Church and member of the Masons.
