Funeral service for George Edward Beck, 74, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 2, 2015, at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary with the Rev. Jim McCain officiating. Burial will follow at Anniston Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 this evening at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary. Mr. Beck passed away on Sunday at his residence. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Audrey Beck; daughter, Tawanna (Roger) Smelley; son Michael (Bonita) Beck; grandson, Jeremy Beck, and his little sidekick, Ransom. Mr. Beck is preceded in death by his parents, Pauline "Polly" and George A. Beck, and his brother, Robert "Bit" Beck. Pallbearers will be friends and family. Mr. Beck graduated from Welborn High School in 1959. He worked at Lee Brass, FMC, and Pratt-Whitney in West Palm Beach, Florida. He was a member of Hatcher Ave. Baptist Church, in Jacksonville. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed.
