George Patrick Knightly

Weaver– Funeral services for Mr. George Patrick Knightly, 80, of Weaver, will be at 2p.m. on Monday, July 30, 2012 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Burns officiating, with burial to follow at Forestlawn Gardens with full military honors. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Knightly passed Thursday, July 26, 2012 at his residence.

Mr. Knightly is survived by his wife, Joyce B. Knightly; daughters, Karen Sue Knightly and Mary Knightly Glenn; sons, Timothy Joseph Knightly and wife Lori, Daniel Patrick Knightly; grandchildren, Carol E. Knightly, Holly Reynolds, Adam Knightly, Chris Isbell, Amanda Knightly, Steven Isbell, Michael Knightly, Rebecca Grey, Bonnie Sue Martin, Billy Knightly, Timothy Knightly and Raymond Lee Glenn; 13 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Military.

Mr. Knightly was in the U.S. Army for 20 years, served in the Korean War where he received The Purple Heart Medal, he has lived in Weaver for the past 41 years was a member of the VFW Post 924 and was of the Catholic faith.

Mr. Knightly was preceded in death by his parents; 1 sister and 3 brothers.
