

Eastaboga – Celebration of life service for Gloria Collins Phillips, 58 of Eastaboga will be 2 pm, Thursday, July 18, 2013 at Eulaton United Methodist Church with Rev. Sherri Reynolds, Rev. Abi Carlisle-Wilke, and Gorden Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow at adjoining cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday at the church from 12 p.m. until service time.
Mrs. Phillips passed away July 13, 2013 at Largo Medical Center in Florida.
Mrs. Phillips is survived by her husband, Don Phillips; daughters, Kim Hawkins (Steve), and Tammy Curry (Chad); son, Eddie Phillips; parents, Mildred and Ira Collins; sister, Wanda Robertson (Richard); brother, Ira Lynn Collins; grandchildren, Rachel Hawkins, Zack Hawkins, Megan Roberts, Kamron Hawkins, Hillary Hawkins, Lauren Curry and Blake Curry; great grandchildren, Skyler Hawkins, Jaden Hawkins, and Drake Hawkins; lifelong family friend and caregiver, Reather Stevens
Pallbearers will be Mike Holtman, Landon Holtman, Nathan Holtman, Joel Busler, Doug O’Dell and John Crosson. Honorary pallbearers will be the Johnny Cunningham Sunday School Class.
Mrs. Phillips was preceded in death by her grandson, Steven Phillips.
Gloria was a graduate of the University of Alabama in social work. She went on to pursue a degree in nursing working at Stringfellow Hospital most of her nursing career. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and will be greatly missed. She would have celebrated her 28th wedding anniversary with the love of her life on August 16, 2013.
