
Funeral Services for Jack Sherman Turner, 76, of Anniston will be 2pm Today, August 4th 2016 at Gray Brown Service Mortuary with Pastors Jon Cardwell and Mike Drummond officiating. The Family received friends from 6-8pm on Wednesday night at Gray Brown. Mr. Turner Passed away Sunday July 31st 2016 at his home.
Mr.Turner was born in Coalwood, Virginia on June 9th, 1940. He came to Anniston in March 1960 with the Army at Ft. McClellan. He went to the chemical corps school then to 66 CML Dept Co. 100 CML Group Ft McClellan AL. Mr. Turner is survived by his two sons, Jack Scott Turner of Anniston and Shane Allen Turner and his wife Sandra of Lincoln ; step-son Patrick Pilkington; and granddaughters Taylor Shaye Turner, Ava Jane and Hayden Pilkingon.
Mr. Turner is preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years, Evelyn M. Ingram Turner.; his father, Guy V. Turner of Bluefield, West Virginia. and mother Edna M. Turner of Iager, West Virginia; and brother Johnny W. Turner of Ozark AL.
Mr. Turner was a member of Sovereign Grace Baptist Church and was ordaned in 1975 as a deacon at Wayside Baptist Church. Mr. Turner was a member of Masonic Lodge 931 in Anniston, a member of Sons of Conferate Veterans, and a life member of Disabled American Veterans of Anniston. Roll Tide.
