Funeral service for Mr. James Lawrence Horton “Little Man”, 86, of Oxford, will be 1:00 PM, Monday, January 27, 2014, at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary with Rev. Clyde Pettus and Rev. Jeremy Richards officiating. Burial will follow at Coldwater Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12-1 PM Monday at the funeral home. Mr. Horton died Friday at his residence
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Virginia M. Horton; Daughter, Pam Crawford; Son, Wayne Horton; Sister, Juanita Curvin (Sam); Grandchildren, Hubert Horton (Angie), David Horton, LaShay Vardaman, Josh Crawford (Emilee); and 5 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Josh Crawford, Hubert Horton, Tyler Horton, Sam Curvin, Johnny Mosser, and Jeremy Richard.
Mr. Horton was born in Choccolocco, AL and a resident of Oxford. He held positions as a machinist at various factories and worked for the Highway Department. Mr. Horton was a beloved husband, father and grandfather who will be loved and missed by all who knew him.
