Mr. James Lipham

Funeral service for James Arnton Lipham, 80, of Anniston, will be 1:00 pm Saturday, May 15, 2010 at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary Chapel with Dr. Dan Lampard officiating. Burial will follow at Edgemont Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 – 8 pm at the funeral home. Mr. Lipham died Wednesday at his residence.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia S. Lipham of Anniston, one daughter, Janet Marie Lipham of San Diego, CA, three sons, James A. Lipham Jr., of Anniston, Robert M. Lipham of Daytona Beach, FL and Thomas A. Lipham of Atlanta GA, four grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Mr. Lipham is preceded in death by his daughter Lisa Anne Lipham of Albuquerque, NM, and his parents, Bob and Vera Lipham.

Pallbearers will be Dannie Williams, Scott James, John Story, Michael Story, Dennis Cato and Leon Driggers Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be Don Sills, Roy Haney and Phillip Rowe.

Mr. Lipham was a native and a resident of Anniston. He was a member of Choccolocco Community Church, the Auburn Alumni and the Telephone Pioneers of America. Mr. Lipham was retired from AT&T and was a veteran of the United States Air Force where he served during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Lipham was a former resident of Atlanta, GA for 30 years.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Choccolocco Community Church, the Cancer Center of Anniston or to the American Heart Association.
