Funeral services for James L. “Butch” McNutt Jr., 65, of Pell City, formerly of Alexandria, will be 2 pm Thursday, May 16, 2013 at Gray Brown-Service Chapel with Rev. Jonathan Pate officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 1 – 2 pm at the funeral home. Mr. McNutt died Monday at his residence.
Survivors include two sons, Greg McNutt (Shara) and Michael McNutt, three grandchildren, Ashleigh, Haleigh and Ethan McNutt, his mother, Mamie McNutt.
Mr. McNutt is preceded in death by his father, James L. McNutt Sr. and his sister, Elizabeth “Libbie”Massey.
Mr. McNutt was a native of Jefferson County. He was a member of Cropwell Baptist Church. Mr. McNutt retired from the Anniston Army Depot and was a U.S. Navy veteran. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Gentiva Hospice, especially William Scott and Gloria Duff for their loving care during Butch’s illness
