Graveside service for James Walter Pope, 87, of Jacksonville, will be 3:00 pm, today, March 16, 2012, at New Harmony Baptist Church in Albertville with Rev. Daniel Harper officiating. The family will receive friends today from 10:30 am – 12:30 pm at Gray Brown-Service. Mr. Pope died Wednesday at Jacksonville Health and Rehab.
Survivors include daughters, Sheila Crider and husband Don of Ohatchee; and Pam Carver of Gainesville FL; son, Gerald Williamon of Tuscaloosa; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Pope is preceded in death by his wives, Elvie Sparks Pope and Alliene Fundaburk Pope
