James William Sharp, born August 2, 1937 in Overton, Texas, died October 19 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Mr. Sharp was preceded in death by his parents, John R. Sharp, Sr. and Juanita Littlefield Sharp and his brother, John R. Sharp, Jr. Survivors include two sisters, Jonita Sharp Haynes, husband James, and Janice Sharp McAdams, husband Charles; one niece, Jeneane Haynes Treace, husband Anthony; one nephew, John William McAdams; a great niece, Julia Treace, and a great nephew, William Treace.
Jim, as he is known to family and friends, was a navy veteran and a member of Mr. Zion Baptist Church.
The family would like to thank those friends who watched over Jim during his lengthy illness.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 2 pm at Gray Brown-Service Chapel in Anniston. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1 – 2 pm at the funeral home.
