Funeral service for Jerry Vinson, 67, will be 1:30 pm, Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Hillcrest Baptist Church with Dr. Rick Reaves officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until service time at the church. Mr. Vinson passed away Thursday morning at his residence.
He is survived by his Wife, Phyllis Vinson; Sons, Brian Vinson (Leanna) and Michael Vinson (Grace), Step-Children, Amenda (Mendi) Simmons and Matthew Simmons; Grandchildren, Baileigh, Brodie, Haleigh, Codey, Coleton, and John Paul Vinson; Sisters, Norma Herring (Jerry), Wanda Brown (Jerry), and Joyce Hall (Jim), Brother, Alvin Vinson (Becky) and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Vinson is preceded in death by his parents Hoyt and Alma Vinson.
Mr. Vinson graduated from Southside High School and attended Gadsden State and Jacksonville State University. He was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Navy six years and was the owner of Krystal Klean Carpet Cleaning & Restoration Co. for 37 years. He will be greatly missed.
