Mr. Vera passed away Monday, August 4, 2014 at UAB in Birmingham.
Mr. Vera is survived by his daughter, Natalie Vera Champion; son, Tyler Vera; mother of his children, Terri Vera; sisters, Connie Hall, Debbie Ostdiek, and Patty Vera; brothers, John Vera, Joe Vera, Francis Vera, and Michael Vera; grandchildren, Carleigh Champion, and Eva Champion.
Mr. Vera was a native of Nebraska and a resident of Calhoun County for most of his life.
