Joe is survived by his wife of 54 years, Diane Hafley; daughter Cami Bearden (Lee); and son Kevin Hafley (Stacy); sister Barbara Tidwell (Ken), brother Clarence Hafley (Shelia) and brother Rick Hafley; grandchildren Will Bearden, Ashlyn Hafley and Jackson Hafley, and several nieces and nephews.
Joe was preceded in death by parents James and Beatrice Hafley and a nephew Chet Hafley.
Funeral services for Joe will be Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Gray Brown Service Mortuary with Rev. Eric Snider officiating. Burial will follow at Crook Cemetery in Ohatchee, Alabama. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening October 6, 2020 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Serving as pallbearers are Gary Walker, Clark Williams, Tony Hudson, Eddie Ousley, Kevin Hafley and Lee Bearden.
Joe was a lifelong resident of Calhoun County and a graduate of Saks High School in 1965. Joe served in the National Guard for 23 years and retired from Anniston Army Depot after 44 years of service. Joe was a long time member of Hill Crest Baptist Church. He loved all sports especially Alabama Football. Joe was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed.
