Joseph Calvin Jones

Lincoln – Funeral service for Rev. Joseph Calvin Jones Sr., 88, will be held on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at 1 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Owens, and Rev. Cheryl Blankenship officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the service time at the funeral home.

Rev. Jones went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at UAB in Birmingham.

Rev. Jones leaves behind his daughter, Angela Henderson; sister, Louise Conville; grandchildren, Dawn Henderson, Allen Henderson, Christopher Henderson, Christina Bunn, Candice Dewey; great-grandchildren, Teresa Henderson, C.J. Short, Blake Bunn, Chase Henderson, Daniel Kilgore, Tanner Henderson, Emily Medders, Hunter Henderson, Mack Bunn, Lillie Bunn, and Gage Henderson; great great-grandchildren, Aliza Louise- Daphine Kilgore.

Pallbearers will be family and church family.

Rev. Jones is preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Jones; and son, Joseph Calvin Jones Jr.

Rev. Jones served in the U.S. Army for over 22 years before retiring as a Lt. Col.; he was a pastor for many years at Ohatchee United Methodist Church.
