Joy Elizabeth McCullars

Visitation Service for Joy Elizabeth McCullars, 86, from Anniston, AL will be on Tuesday, 5:00 until 7:00 pm., August 3, 2021 at Chapel Hill Funeral. Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at the funeral home with Rev. Chris Connell will be officiating. Burial will follow at Anniston Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. McCullars was born on July 24, 1935 and passed away on July 31, 2021 at her residence.

Mrs. McCullars is survived by her daughter, Dianne McCluskey (David); sons, Michael McCullars (Denise) and Danny McCullars; grandson, Shane Fordham; brother, Grady Darrell (Sam) Lloyd.

She is preceded in death by her husband, George McCullars; parents, Perry and Pearl Lloyd; brothers, Dock Leon Lloyd, Richard Douglas Lloyd, William Benjamin Lloyd, Horace Cole Lloyd, Jay Hugh Lloyd, Perry Eugene Lloyd, Clyde Donald Lloyd, Troy Lester Lloyd, and Albert Ray Lloyd; and sister, Dora Florence Spears.

Pallbearers are Clint McCluskey, Vic Lloyd, Phillip Lloyd, Mark Lloyd, Kyle Gilmer and Scott Craft.

Mrs. McCullars was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County. She was a member of West Park Heights Baptist Church. Joy loved her church family at Fairview Height Baptist Church. She loved gospel singing, watching the birds and looking at all the beautiful flowers. Joy was loved by many, with her beautiful smile, they called her Sunshine.
