Joyce Estelle Phibbs Snow

Funeral services for Joyce Estelle Phibbs Snow 85 of Oxford will be Monday at 1:00 at Gray Brown Service Chapel with Rev. David Haynes officiating. Burial will follow at Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. Mrs. Snow passed away March 4th at her residence.

Survivors include her daughter Susan Snow of Oxford, a son Tim Snow (Sharon) of Huntsville, Texas, grandchildren Andrew Merkel, Carolyn Snow, Kimberly Ashley, Aimee Coutu, great grandchildren Jordon and Lilliana, one sister Mildred Allison, several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Snow is preceded in death by her husband Beedie Olen, her parents Joseph and Hazel Phibbs, her sister Doris Scarborough and a brother Joe Phibbs.

Pallbearers will be Chris Scarborough, Gregory Lucas, Harold Sparks, Randy Swann, Harold Mooneyham, Dan Morrison. Honorary pallbearers are Johnnie Austin and Wayne Freeman.

Mrs. Snow was a native of Tenn., and a resident of Calhoun County. She graduated Louden County High School in Tenn. Started at Oak Ridge Laboratories working on the 1st Atomic Bomb, then Red Stone Arsenal. She was secretary at Saks High School, Co/Owner of Snow Electric and a member of Meadowbrook Baptist church. She was an Avid gardener.
