Karen Lee Morris

Graveside service for Karen Lee Morris, 60, of Alexandria, formerly of Talladega, will be 11 am Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Talladega, with Rev. Robert Klotz officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 9:30 am – 10:15 am at Gray Brown-Service. Mrs. Morris passed away on Sunday at her residence.

Survivors include her daughter, Mandy Johnson (Jermaine), son, Chris Friar (Emily), grandchildren, Danielle Kirby, Ressie Johnson and Georgia June Johnson, mother, Mary J. Brooks (Roy), niece, Jessica Rainwater (Matthew), and nephew, Cody Hayes .

Mrs. Morris is preceded in death by her father, Durell Morris, brother, Greg Morris and sister, Jeffry Ann Hayes.

Mrs. Morris was a native of Talladega and a resident of Calhoun County for most of her life. She was a graduate of Anniston High School, Ayers State and Gadsden State. Mrs. Morris was a ER nurse at Citizens Hospital in Talladega, RMC in Anniston and was a caregiver for many patients.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alabama Children’s Home or to the Gideon’s.
