A man of contrasts, he left an unforgettable mark on those who knew him. With a passion for gardening, he cultivated life and beauty in his own backyard, often finding solace in the company of birds that visited his garden. He was a politically minded man and despite his tough demeanor, those close to him knew he had a heart of gold. As a coach for soccer, softball and baseball, he instilled in young athletes the value of hard work, teamwork, and fair play. At home, his family was his rock, and his children were the center of his universe. He poured his love and energy into their lives, guiding them with devotion. He loved to travel and he leaves behind a legacy of love of his family.
