

Funeral service for Mrs. Margaret Jacqueline Peoples, 91, will be Sunday, February 26, 2017, at 3 p.m. at 1st United Methodist Church of Saks with the Rev. Taylor Gallman, the Rev. Sandy Felkins and the Rev Bob Owens officiating with burial to follow at Edgemont Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at the church. Mrs. Peoples passed on Thursday, February 23, 2017, at RMC in Anniston.
Mrs. Peoples is survived by daughters, Jenny Peoples Gallman and Susan Peoples Estes; son, Joseph Allen Peoples; grandchildren, Pete (Alison) Gallman, Brooks (Katie) Gallman, Andrea Gallman, Nathan Gallman, Rusty (Erica) Roberts, Matthew Roberts, Jonathan Roberts, Zach Estes and Tonya New; great-grandchildren, Noah Gallman, Kathryn Gallman, Abby Roberts, Will Roberts, Jaden New and Jackson New; nieces and nephews, Jimmy Proseus, Cookie Parcus, Jane Proseus, Jerre Strickland, Johnny Burgess and Linda Warren.
Mrs. Peoples was preceded in death by her husband, L. Thomas Peoples; son, Lynn Thomas Peoples; brothers, Buddy Strickland and Wren Strickland; sisters, Clotine Proseus, and Mary Vann Burgess.
Pallbearers will be Pete Gallman, Brooks Gallman, Nathan Gallman, Rusty Roberts, Matthew Roberts, Jonathan Roberts and Zach Estes.
Mrs. Peoples was a native of Talladega county; she graduated from Oxford High School and was a member of 1st United Methodist Church of Saks. Jackie "Mawmaw" Peoples was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother extraordinaire. She blessed all who knew her with her love, friendship, unique "Mawmawisms" and endless wit. She knew God personally and considered it a joy to serve Jesus and her church family. She loved nothing more than spending time with her family and friends and sharing her life's stories. The family wishes to thank everyone for their kind expressions of love.
