Gadsden - Funeral services for Mr. Maynard Allen Byron, 82 of Gadsden will be Friday, January 16, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with Danny Waddell officiating burial following at Edgemont Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, from 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Mr. Byron passed away January 12, 2015 in Wellington.
Mr. Byron is survived by his son, John W (Tammy) Byron; sisters, Maxine V. Hatch, and Magda S. Hewitt; “brother”, Bernard Versansky; grandchildren, Kyle W. Nix, and Kara Nicole Byron; great-grandchild, Jasper Lawrence Russell; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Byron was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Wilma; four brothers; and five sisters.
Mr. Byron was a native of West Virginia and a resident of Alabama; he served in the US Marine for four years. Mr. Byron was always there for his family helping in any way he could and will be greatly missed.
