

Anniston will be Saturday, May 25, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with Dr. Rick Reaves officiating with burial following at Eulaton United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, from 1 – 3 pm at the funeral home. Mrs. Stephens went to be with the Lord Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at her residence.
Mrs. Stephens is survived by her sons, Randall “Randy” (Karen) Brooks, Richard “Ricky” Brooks; daughter-in-law, Pat Brooks; sister-in-law, Ellen Brooks; grandchildren, Roby Brooks, Wes Brooks, Kevin Brooks, Koy Brooks, Jarred Brooks and Betsy Clum; great grandchildren, Tanner Brooks, Dawson Brooks, Kaelyn Brooks, Landen Clum, Addisyn Brooks, RJ Brooks, Molly Brooks, Skylar Brooks, Payton Brooks, Sawyer Brooks, Shelby Brooks, and Dalton Brooks.
Pallbearers will be Roby Brooks, Wes Brooks, Kevin Brooks, Koy Brooks, Jarred Brooks, and Joey Oliver. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Encouragers Sunday School Class at Hillcrest Baptist Church.
Mrs. Stephens was preceded in death by her first husband, James E. Brooks; second husband, David L. Stephens; and son James E. “Jimmy” Brooks Jr.
Mrs. Stephens was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County; she was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and was employed with AOD for many years as a switchboard operator.
Family would like to say a special thanks to caregivers Ella Seabolt, Stephanie McDonald, Kaye Turley, Florence Pate, Juanita Moore and Tiffany Wilson and a very special thanks to Donna Gilmore and staff with Southern Care Hospice
