Funeral service for Myra Sue Taylor of Jacksonville, will be at Chapel Hill Funeral Home on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Sam Legon officiating. Burial will follow at Edgemont Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
Myra Sue Taylor, 72, went home to be with Jesus on April 14, 2021. She was born on November 9, 1948.
She is survived by her husband by Dean Taylor; sister, Ann (Dennis) Cook of Carrollton, GA; two nephews, Matt (Erin) Cook, Peachtree City, GA, and Stewart (Ashli) Cook of Kennesaw, GA; great-nephews and Niece, Brady, Ava and Hudson Cook. A host of Taylor nieces and nephews from Jacksonville, AL. Two special friends – Kenny Johnson and Earl Humphreys.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Oma Butterworth.
Pallbearers will be Matt Cook, Stewart Cook, Luke Smallwood, Jamie Taylor, Jonathan Green, Scott Golden and Chad Golden. Honorary pallbearers are the Webster Chapel Fire Department.
Mrs. Taylor was a retired educator with the City of Anniston. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church. She was known for her God given ability to play the piano. Sue loved the Lord and spent her entire life serving him.
She leaves us a legacy of unconditional love for all.
