Funeral service for Palace Ray Roberts, 102, of Oxford, will be 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 9, 2015, at Gray-Brown Service Mortuary with Wayne Dunaway officiating. Burial will follow at Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday night from 6-8 p.m. Mr. Roberts passed away on Sunday at Autumn Cove. Survivors include his daughters, Wynell Trantham, Laura Stegall (James), and Elaine Haynes; 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great- grandchildren. Mr. Roberts is preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Grace Buchanan Roberts; son, Wayne Roberts; granddaughters Melissa Haynes, Jenny Haynes, and Michelle Roberts; grandsons Steve Trantham and John Trantham; and great-grandson Allen Bagents. Palace Roberts retired from Lee Brass and was a lifetime member of the Church of Christ. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
