Anniston – Funeral services for Mrs. Polly P. Tankersley, 94, of Anniston will be held Monday, April 11, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with Dr. Bill Snow and Rev. Gary Tankersley officiating with burial to follow at Forestlawn Gardens. Visitation will be Monday at the funeral home one hour before service time.

Mrs. Tankersley passed peacefully Friday, April 8, 2016 at her home in Anniston.

Mrs. Tankersley is survived by her son, Tony (Rose) Tankersley; grandchildren, Gary (Diana) Tankersley, and Cleta (Robert) Henderson; great-grandchildren, Bradley Tankersley, April Clanton; great great-grandchildren, Madison Shelton, Brody Clanton, Noah Tankersley, Baleigh Clanton, Caden Clanton, Ava Clanton, and Callie Tankersley.

Pallbearers will be Norman Kelly, Robert Henderson, Eddie Tankersley, Glenn Tankersley, Bruce Tankersley, and Bradley Tankersley.

Mrs. Tankersley was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County, a member of Edgewood Congregational Methodist Church, and was employed at Blue Mountain Cotton Mill.

Mrs. Tankersley is preceded in death by her husband, James T. Tankersley; daughter, Rachel Sheick; and granddaughter, Christina Henderson.
