Robert is survived by his sisters Velita Worthy (Larry), Teresa Simmons (Jeff) and his brother Ricky Putman (Rhonda) and numerous nieces and nephews.
Robert was preceded in death by his son Jesse R. Angel; his father James Robert Angel and his mother Kathryn P Angel Putman; his sister Beverly O'Hare; his brothers Jerry Putman, Wesley Putman and James Allen Angel.
Funeral services for Robert will be Thursday, December 12, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Angel Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Chris Sparks officiating. Burial will follow at Seven Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Robert was a lifelong resident of Calhoun County and a Army Veteran. He graduated Jacksonville State University where he obtained a Bachelor's Degree. Robert worked at the NCO Club at Ft. McClellan for many years, and then worked for Federal Mogul. He was an avid golfer and a dog lover. He was a Baptist by faith and enjoyed watching Alabama Football.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Angel Grove Baptist Church or the Calhoun County Humane Society.
