Ronald Ray Harper

Funeral service for Ronald Ray Harper, 75 of Weaver, will be 1:00 pm, Monday, September 12, 2011, at Gray Brown-Service with Rev. Ed Lynn officiating. Entombment will follow at Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Mr. Harper died Thursday afternoon at his residence.

Survivors include his wife Claire Harper; daughter, Rhonda Harper Junior and husband Jeff of Weaver; son, Timothy “T.R.” Harper and wife Michelle of Jacksonville; grandchildren, Michael Harper and wife Brandi, Heather Harper, and Sarah Junior; great grandchildren, Jordan Harper, Kirsten and Payten Walker; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Harper is preceded in death by his parents, one sister and one brother.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Junior, Benjamin Hansen, Dennis Harper, Frank Reid, Larry Harper, and Eddie Harper

Mr. Harper was a native of Boothton Alabama and a resident of Weaver. He was in the U.S. Navy serving on the U.S.S. Sperry Destroyer. He retired from M & H Valve and after retirement worked at U.S. Casting. Mr. Harper was an avid Alabama fan and member of Faith Temple Christen Center.
