Roy Tifton "Tip" Barker Sr.

Funeral services for Mr. Roy Tifton ‘Tip’ Barker will be Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Gray-Brown-Service Chapel at 1:00 P.M. Visitation will begin at noon. The Reverend Chris Thomas will officiate. Mr. Barker died peacefully at his home on Wednesday, January 22. Survivors include two sons, Roy Barker and his wife Eva of Oxford and William (Bill) Barker and his wife Glenda of Anniston; daughter, Kathy Hanks of Eastaboga; son-in-law, Buddy McFall of Oxford; brother, Herbert Barker of Anniston; twelve grandchildren, Jim McFall, Cheryl Pennington, Gidget Reid, Tonya George, Gina Stanley, Doug Hanks, Pat Barker, Tammy Durham, Joanna Scott, Keith McFall, Kim Smith, Chris Barker; 25 great-grandchildren; and special caregiver/friend, Marie Ford. Pallbearers will be Doug Hanks, Alan George, Jim McFall, Keith McFall, Alan George, Chris Pennington, Gavin Reid, Keith Reid, and Jerry Scott. Mr. Barker was preceded in death by his wife, Ina Mae Barker, his parents William & Inez Barker, brother, L.V. Barker, daughter, Judy McFall, and son-in-law, Russell Hanks. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any hospice or other charity of your choice.
