Sandra A Truitt

Sandra passed away Thursday, April 6, 2023 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham after a very short illness.

Sandra is survived by her Husband of 61 years, Dan Truitt; Daughter, Vickie Lee Haynes;Son, Timothy Brand Truitt; Grandchildren, Adam (Emily) Haynes, and Jayden Haynes; Great-grandchildren, Reagan and Austin Haynes; a beloved Sister, Margaret Watts (Willie); Brother-in-Law, Gary Truitt (LaWanna); Nieces and Nephews, Mike Watts, Steve Watts, Kathy Alldredge, Shannon Truitt, Shelby Truitt, Alana MacDonald (Shawn), Special friend, Darrell Farmer.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Vera Brand, and Mother-in-law and Father-in-law, Earl and Geneva Truitt.

She was a retired employee of Goodyear Tire and Rubber after many years of service.

Sandra enjoyed cooking, daily on- line shopping at QVC and HSN and watching old movies and earlier in life, touring the United States on the backseat of their motorcycles. She enjoyed using her computer to make friends on Facebook and watching various cooking shows on the computer. She was a lifetime member of the Goldwing Road Riders Motorcycle Association and The Alexandria High School alumni Association. She enjoyed “going to the beach” and Daytona Beach was one of her favorite places to visit.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Sandra was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church in Alexandria.

Sandra was a kind person that had an infectious smile throughout her life. She was an Alexandria High School graduate, Cheerleader, and a beautiful person who will be dearly missed.
