Sonya Kaye Saeger

Funeral service for Sonya Kaye Saeger, 50, of Weaver, will be 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 28, 2015, at Gray Brown Service Mortuary with Bro. Greg Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Edgemont Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, June 27, 2015. Mrs. Saeger passed away Thursday morning in Weaver. Survivors include her daughter, Jessica Forsyth (Joel); son, Chandler Saeger; mother, Sarah Chandler; sister, Tawana Hase (Keith); brother, Victor Chandler; grandchildren, Jamison and Joelie Forsyth; nephew, Heith Hase (Gail); neice, Heather Hase Acker (Patrick); great-nieces, Allie, Anna, and Avery Hase and Emerie Acker; great-nephew, Brandt Acker; special friend, Gregory Cushen. Mrs. Saeger is preceded in death by her father, Billy Chandler; and grandmothers, Carrie Hinds and Essie Marler. Pallbearers will be Jeff Gallahar, Joel Wood, Jamal Johnson, Billy Knopp, Patrick Acker, Ronnie Whiteside and Dave Waddell. Her son, Chandler Saeger will serve as an honorary pallbearer. Mrs. Saeger was a native of Weaver, Ala. She attended Saks High School and was a CNA instructor at National Healthcare. She had a servant's heart and truly loved helping others. She will be missed by all who knew her.
