Alexandria – Funeral service for Mr. Stephen Ross “Steve” Ramey, 55, will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 2p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with Dr. Bill Snow officiating with burial to follow at Anniston Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday night from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Ramey passed on Thursday, October 05, 2017 at his home after a brief illness.

Mr. Ramey is survived by his daughter, Braedyn Kate Ramey; mother, Vivian Bell; step-father, Jimmy Bell; chosen sister, Donna Bentley Wilson; chosen brothers, Toney “Denny” Bentley, and Tim Bentley; step-brothers, Randy Bell, and Tony Bell; aunt and uncle, Bonnie and Toney Bentley; beloved pet, JoJo; nieces and nephews, Brandi Sheffield, Rachel Chevis, Nick Bentley, Justin Wilson, Nathan Bentley, Lauren Bentley, and Regan Bell.

Pallbearers will be Jamie Hall, Denny Bentley, Darrell “Dagwood” Smith, Tristan “Buck” Smith, Tyler Kiker, Kenneth James, Austin Foster, and Tony Griffin. Honorary pallbearers will be Justin Wilson, Nathan Bentley, Lee Ragsdale, Gary Sparks, and Chuck Pearl.

Mr. Ramey is preceded in death by his grandparents, Ellis and Edna Yongue.

Mr. Ramey was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County. He was a graduate of Saks High School, a member of Union Grove FCM Church and attended Edgewood Church. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved the Lord, his family, friends, and especially his reason- Braedyn Kate Ramey.
