Tom Smith

Tom is survived by his daughter's Deana Grubbs (Dustin); Tracey Smith; Jamie Irwin (Daniel); and Elsa Mae Smith; and his son Matt Smith; his girlfriend Cindy Braswell, his grandchildren Dylan Grubbs, Logan Grubbs, Katelyn Henderson (Aiden), Corey Smith, Karleigh Smith, Tyler Wilson, Hannah Grubbs, Peyton Wilson, Kylan (Beefy) Smith, Aliyah Smith, his nieces and nephews Roseann Smith, Frank Smith, Tina Westcott and a host of others.

Tom was preceded in death by the mother of his children Joann Smith; his mother-in-law Dean Stephenson and his parents; his grandmother Louis Farrow.

Funeral services for Tom will be Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Gray Brown Service Mortuary with Pastor Nick Burns Officiating. Burial will follow at Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Serving as pallbearers are Matt Smith, Dustin Grubbs, Dylan Grubbs, Logan Grubbs, Daniel Irwin and Corey Smith.

Tom was a native of Old Forge, Pennsylvania and a resident of Lincoln, Alabama. He retired from the US Army where he served in Desert Storm. Tom loved to take cruises and was a Penn State Fan. He loved his dog and his grandchildren.
