

Vicki Sherrl Haynes, 67, lifelong resident of Anniston and affectionately known as "Meemaw", was made whole again as she stepped through the gates of Heaven to rejoice with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 20, 2025.
Vicki is survived by her devoted husband of 49 years Richard Lynn Haynes; the absolute joys of her life, son, Christopher Lynn Haynes (Mary) and Grandson, Jacob Taylor Haynes; brother, Gary Lynn McGinnis (Liz), and niece, Taylor Lynn Callahan; and numerous extended family.
She is preceded in death by Father, G.C. McGinnis and Mother, Nevell McGinnis.
Mrs. Haynes was Valedictorian for Saks High School, Class of 1976. She was a longtime member of Saks Baptist Church where she loved working with the Cubbies ministry before her illness. She was talented with any type of art or craft. She was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Grana, LeighAnne, Joanna, and Alicia, to Dr. Clark and Dr. Pratt, Val, Maci, and Crystal McElroy with Amedisys Home Health, to Robin and Jason with Fresenius and to Misty, Rachelle and Ceara with SouthernCare New Beacon Hospice.
A Graveside service will be held at 10:00am on Monday, December 22, 2025 at Anniston Memorial Gardens, officiating services will be Reverend Anthony "Chef T" Soles. Live singing to be performed by Jeremy Barker. Serving as pall bearers will be Christopher Haynes, Jacob Haynes, Gary McGinnis, Rev. Anthony "Chef T" Soles, Jeremy Barker and Russell Burgess.
