
Funeral services for William “Bill” Haynes, 85, of Anniston, will be 1 pm Thursday at Gray Brown-Service Chapel with Rev. Ed Wallen and Rev. Don Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Baptist Cemetery in Lineville. The family will receive friends tonight from 5 – 8 pm and Thursday from 12 - 1 at the funeral home. Mr. Haynes died Monday at NHC.
Survivors include his wife Ludie Vincent-Haynes, children, Theresa (Donald) Worthy, Donald (Susan) Haynes, Ronald (Kem) Haynes and Rhonda (Phillip) Haynes, step-children, Wanda (Bill) Campbell, Gene Vincent and Larry (Charlotte) Vincent, Grandchildren, Blake Worthy, Rayton (Lori) Worthy, Maghen (Tree) Osborne, Dustin Haynes, Brian Haynes, Courtney (Allen) Harris, Justin Haynes and Loren (Jennifer) Vincent, great-grandchildren, Jessica, Jesse, Brianna and Brooklyn Worthy, Mattox and Dawson Osborne, Logan and Lyndon Vincent, brother, James S. (Lois) Haynes.
Mr. Haynes is preceded in death by his wife, Florence Pettus Haynes, parents, Jacob and Lacie Haynes, and numerous brothers and sisters.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Mr. Haynes was a native of Lineville and a resident of Anniston for most of his life. He was a member of West Park Heights Baptist Church. Mr. Haynes was a U.S. Marine veteran where he served during WWII. He retired from Barber Dairies. Mr. Haynes was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who lived a life of faith. He was a friend to all who knew him.
