Funeral services for Winnie Lou Long Medders, 89, of Anniston, will be 11 am, Thursday, May 15, 2014, at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Tim Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Anniston Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5 – 8 pm at the funeral home. Mrs. Medders passed away on Monday at Coosa Valley Healthcare.
Survivors include her daughter, Donna Medders Garner, son, Jerry Jerome Medders (Cleat), grandchildren, Ginger Baker Peterson, Michelle Medders Swinford, Jerry Jerome Medders Jr., Stacy Medders Henderson, Mark Allen Medders and Dawn Medders Gentry.
Mrs. Medders is preceded in death by her husband, Allen Eugene Medders and son, Jimmy Allen Medders
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Mrs. Medders was a native of Etowah County. She lived in Lincoln for several years and was a resident of Anniston for the past 20 years. Mrs. Medders was a member of Munford Baptist Church.
