Barbara Kay Rohloff

Barb is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Larry Rohloff; her two sons Ryan (Jen) and Joe (Allison); her much beloved grandchildren, Kasten (Ryan) and Finley (Joe); brother Dick (Linda) Swanson; sister-in-law Colleen (Mark) Christ; numerous nieces, cousins, and other family members; and her devoted canine companion, Primo.

Known as “Barbie” to her friends, she had an infectious smile and laughter. She loved to socialize; her large circle of friends was ever increasing since she never met anyone who did not become an instant friend.

Barb was born on June 8, 1948 to Charles and Virginia Swanson of White Bear Lake, MN. After graduating from North St. Paul High School, she went on to receive a Physical Education teaching degree from St. Cloud State University and taught for many years. She also performed administration work for various clinics prior to her retirement in 2010. Barb enjoyed retirement with Larry, where they split their time between a home outside Phoenix, AZ and a cabin in the Hunters Bay community on Bay Lake in MN. Barb and Larry also enjoyed vacationing in Puerto Vallarta and Puerto Penasco, Mexico.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Barb’s life on Tuesday August 29, 2023 from 1:00-4:00 PM at Snail Lake Park Pavilion at 4191 Snail Lake Blvd, Shoreview, MN 55126. The family requests in lieu of flowers to instead make a donation to the American Cancer Society or Animal Humane Society in Barb’s name.
