Delroy ‘Del’ Charles Winchester, 81, of Ramsey, Minnesota, passed away on November 17th, 2025 surrounded by family. Born on September 6th, 1944 in Parkers Prairie, Minnesota and raised by his grandparents Will and Minnie Hendershot. Del lived a life grounded in hard work, dedication, and deep love for those around him.
Del was happily married for 60 years to the love of his life, Sue. Del and Sue were married July 3rd, 1965 in Ottertail County. Their marriage was a true partnership built on devotion, resilience, and shared joy. Together, they created a family and a legacy that will continue for generations.
Del was a hardworking man and a true outdoorsman. He treasured time spent hunting, fishing, and being outside, and he shared that love of the outdoors with his family. Known for his steady presence and quiet strength, he was someone others could always depend on. Del was also known for being able to “do it all.” He could build or fix anything imaginable.
Above all, Del was a great father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His family meant everything to him.
He is survived by his wife, Susann Rae Winchester; his son, Anthony Charles Winchester and daughter-in-law Deborah Sue Winchester; his grandsons, Zachary Shawn Winchester and Dalton Charles Winchester; his granddaughters, Makenzie Ann Winchester(Dylan Nelson) and Olivia Nicole Winchester; his great-grandson, Waylon Charles Winchester; and his great-granddaughter Charlee Anne Winchester.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Will and Minnie Hendershot and his son, Shawn Peter Winchester.
Del will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, and his legacy will continue to be felt in the lives of his family and those he touched.
Memorial Service 10:00 am Monday, December 8, 2025 at Gearhart Anoka Funeral Home (552 East River Rd. Anoka, MN) with Visitation 9:00 am until time of service.
A second Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, December 8, 2025 at Domian-Anderson Chapel (309 2nd Avenue NW., Bertha, MN)
