Gearhart Anoka Funeral Home

In Loving Memory of Steven T. Anderson

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Steven Ted Anderson, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother, who passed away on September 18, 2025, at the age of 70.

He was a beloved husband to Lorri, with whom he shared almost 44 years of marriage, and a proud father to Christa and Casey. He is lovingly missed by his wife, Lorri; his daughter, Christa, and her husband, Jeromy, and their children, Roger, Rory, Mahkena, and Calvin; his son, Casey, and his wife, Valerie, and their children, Jaida, Caden, and Jordan; his sister, Catharine, and her cat, Oliver. Preceded in death by his daughter, Corinna Sue; Sharon and Tracy Duell (mother and step-father), and Ted Anderson (father).

He carried in his heart the memory of his daughter, Corrina Sue, who passed away at the age of two years and three months. Her spirit remained a quiet light in his and his wife’s life, a reminder of love that endures beyond time.

Steve’s greatest joy, besides his wife, his son, and daughter, was his grandchildren – they brought him endless joy, and his legacy will continue through their lives. He was particularly proud that he shared his birthdate with his son and paternal grandfather. He loved telling annoying “dad” jokes, and once he discovered YouTube, he bombarded everyone with links to the latest in weird stories. He also was incapable of lying, so if you didn’t want the truth, don’t ask – he had a boss who asked him what he thought of him, and Steve told him – a minute later, he was jobless. Steve later said, “I kind of was set up, wasn’t I?” Yes, Steve.

Besides being a sheet metal worker, he was a talented artist and made beautiful metal miniature trees out of copper wiring. Fishing was where he went to reconnect and calm his spirit, and he loved to share that passion with his family members. He particularly loved camping and was so grateful for the time that was spent at his cousin Sue’s Bearskin Lodge on the Gunflint Trail two years ago. His absence leaves a deep ache in the hearts of those who loved him, and life will be a bit more boring now.

A private memorial service will be held for the family only.
