Tom was a Korean War Veteran in the Air Force. He was a 73-year member of the Knights of Columbus. Tom loved gardening, fishing, camping, and spending time with his family. He was an amazing husband, father, uncle, Godfather, grandfather, and great-grandfather - he worked hard and played harder.
He is preceded in passing by his parents, Thomas and Yvonne; and sisters, Lucille Novack and Jacqueline O'Connell.
Thomas' legacy will live on through his beloved wife of 59 years, Betty; children, Colleen (Randy) Bartholomew, Michael (Tamara) O'Connell, Lucy (David) Plumley, Charles (Traci) O'Connell, Jerome (Christine) O'Connell, Daniel O'Connell, Diane Gruenke, Rita (Stephen) Williams; 17 grandchildren; 17 going on 20 great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.
Join us to celebrate Tom's life on Monday, February 20, 2023, at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, 525 Jackson St, Anoka. Rosary hosted by K of C at 9:30 am, visitation 10-11 am, Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am, and luncheon to follow.
Inurnment in Fort Snelling National Cemetery on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at 1:45 pm. Assembly area will be added here the week prior.
In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to St. Stephen's Church in Anoka, and St. Albert the Great parish in Minneapolis.
