

Mr. Carroll Franklin "Frank" Black, 70, of Apopka, Florida went home to be with his heavenly father on Saturday, July 12, 2014. Mr. Black was born in Baltimore, Maryland on December 20, 1943 to parents Harry Allen and Leila Mae “Sonny” (McMahon) Black. Mr. Black grew up in Ashland, Kentucky and had been a resident of Central Florida since 1969. He was a US Army Reserve Retiree. Mr. Black owned and operated a maintenance company since 1982. He loved fishing, watching “his” Kentucky Wildcats basketball, playing golf and cards, and especially enjoyed time spent with family, particularly his grandchildren whom he very much loved and cherished. He will be most remembered for his easy smile, laughter, love, advice and stories. Those treasured memories will be forever in the hearts of his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 38 years- Vicki Black of Apopka, Florida (Special note from Mrs. Black: I lost my best friend, the love of my life, my rock. Frank, you will be so very missed by so many of the people whose lives you touched with your laughter, love, and stories. Thank you Frank, for all that you have given us.) sons- Robert (Janene) and Brian (Lara); daughter- Marleia (William); grandchildren- Jordan, Riley and Jaxson Black; Austin and Carter Black; Ashlei, Taylor, William and Andy Butler. Mr. Black was preceded in death by his parents and a sister- Marsha Kay Black-Hamilton.
