Dana Alice Zumbaugh, 76, of Fort Wayne, IN passed away on June 12, 2018. She had recently moved back to Fort Wayne after living in Apopka, FL for 30 years. Dana was born in Windsor, MO on March 3, 1942. She attended a one room schoolhouse until high school and used to ride a horse to school with her brother Jerry. After graduating from Central Missouri State College in 1964, Dana began a teaching career, which was soon interrupted by starting a family. Later on, she went back to school to become a mainframe computer programmer and worked in that field the rest of her career, the longest stint at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne. She enjoyed gardening and Bible study but her favorite interest was always horses and horseback riding. Dana is survived by her sons: Michael (Jennifer) Zumbaugh of Troy, MI and Christopher (Cynthia) Zumbaugh of Sheridan, IN; her brother: Jerry Gordon and sister Virginia Chambers; and by her grandchildren: Michael, Megan, Hanna, Peter, Zoe and Ella. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Dale Zumbaugh, in 2017 and her sister Beth Groseclose.
