

Elmer Lee Goins, 87, born September 21, 1926 to the late Chester and Zender Goins in Kingsport, TN passed away August 25, 2014 in Zellwood, FL. He was a member of Zellwood United Methodist Church. He loved country music, the Tennessee Volunteers, and participated in the Red Caps at Zellwood Station. Elmer also served in the U.S. Navy in WWII and the Korean Conflict. He worked for Foremost/Flavorich Dairies in Tennessee and Florida for 44 years prior to his retirement in 1991. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jackie Goins; and his brothers Max and Bobby. He is survived by his sons, Gary Goins (Linda) and Phil M. Goins (Jeannie); his daughter, Marsha A. Holderfield (Danny); 6 grandchildren, Tammy (Dean) Rucker, Kevin (Stephanie) Goins, Jeremy (Stacey) Holderfield, Tonya (Caleb) Keenan, Shanna (Brandon) Clark, and Phillip (Misty) Goins; and 9 great-grandchildren, Blaze, Brianna, and Bayley Rucker, Jace and Jameson Holderfield, Caden, Connor, and Colin Keenan, and Bentley Clark. A memorial service will be held at 1PM, Saturday, August 30 at Zellwood United Methodist Church.
