Raymond Jackson Jr.

Ray grew up locally, he loved it here. Most of all, he loved his family. Ray's fondest memories were of growing up in Orick, CA. He attended local schools and was a logger during his work career. Ray was an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and just being in the woods with his family. Ray was very proud of his Native American culture, he was a member of the North Fork Mono Rancheria in North Fork, CA.

Ray is survived by his siblings and their spouses, Harris Jackson, Linwood & Kathleen Jackson, Sandra Sosa of Nevada, Elaine Jackson, and Sherrill & Ed Esteeves.

His cousins Suzie Jackson, Charlie Jackson, Marvin Jackson and their families, Jewelan,, Michael, Cindy, Joe, Anthony, April, Fonda, Regina, Joshua, Malcolm, and Matthew all of Madera, CA. Levi Davis, George Davis, Angela Swain, and her children Monica and Erron.

He was an Uncle to Fallon (Ryan), Jennie (George), Kenneth, Justin (Jennifer), Mark, Chief, Eric, Carolyn, Denton, Fonda and her children Nathan, Kit-Kah. Daisy (Tommy) and their children, Anthony, Alicia, Shadow, Woodsey, Keith. Mike and Irene of Nevada. Crystal (John), their child Brianna of Paradise, CA. Jackson (Paulette), their children Miranda, Shondra, and Kristina of Arizona. Many other members of the Grigsby family of Central California and his extended family Fred, Carmen, Marjorie, and Velma Moon of Hoopa.

He is preceded in death by his parents Irene and Raymond Jackson Sr., sister Jennie Jackson,, nephew Keith Childs and Lenora Vaca.

Memorial Service to be held Friday September 21st 2012 at 1 p.m. at Paul's Chapel in Arcata, CA.
