
Born 04/20/1939 passed on 04/25/2012. Bobby was born in McCloud CA, one of five brothers, to Carl and Margret Hampton. When he was seven his family moved to Blue Lake CA, where he attended Blue Lake Elementary and Arcata High School.
Bobby enlisted in the Army and served for our country for 2 years.
Bobby met and married his first wife, Sharon Estes, and raised his family in Blue Lake. Bobby enjoyed supporting his children in their activities and sports, following his son Tom to many wrestling tournaments. Bobby lost his first wife in 1991. Bobby worked his whole life in the lumber industry, working in a lot of the mills in the area, finally retiring from Chambers Wood Products in 2004.
In 1997 Bobby met and married the love of his life. Lyn and her family brought a lot of joy and happiness to Bobby's life. A great partnership was formed and she fulfilled his life. Bobby lived his life to the fullest, golfing, jet skiing, snow skiing, boating, camping and traveling. He was also a great car enthusiast, restoring a classic Oldsmobile he was proud of and enjoyed taking to car shows.
Bobby was a member of the Humboldt Harmonaires for a short time, played softball with the men's senior league for years and belonged to the Harbor Lanes Match club where he made many good friends. Bobby was a family man who very much enjoyed his children and grand children.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Sharon, daughter Debbie, son, Danny and his brother Don.
Bobby is survived by his brothers, Jack (Nancy) Hampton, Gene (Kazuko) Hampton, and Charles (Judy) Hampton. Bobby is also survived by his son Tom (Katy) Hampton of McKinleyville and daughter Angela of Santa Rosa, brother-in-laws, Ronald (Mariel) Lindblad and family and Donald (Vicki) Lindblad He will be missed by his grandchildren Brandon, Hayli, Breanna, Natasha, Nichole, Lacie, Mick and Austin, and six great children. He will be greatly missed by his two step daughters, Charlotte Henry and family and Georgia Hendrickson.
Please join us for a celebration of Bobby's life on May 4th at the Blue Lake Grange from 1-4 pm.
There will be a memorial service and pot luck following.
