
Born October, 01, 1934 and Passed Away February 16, 2011 In the early morning of Wednesday, February 16, 2011, Cliff passed away in his sleep. He was born in butte, Montana. He was a resident of McKinleyville, California for most of his life. He attended Arcata High School and served in the Army in the late 1950's. As a young married man, he lived in Washington and other cities; he worked in various mills and was a railroad man for a while. Most of his adult life, he worked for Dutra Trucking, Edeline Trucking and for a short time Simpson. He retired in his early 70s. He was a long-time member of the McKinleyville Moose Lodge. His sons are Kenny Marshall and wife, Dianne, of Trinidad, California; Kieth Visser and wife, Karen, of Union, Washington; Dennis Marshall of California; Carl Marshall of Washington; Clifford (Tyke) Marshall of Idaho. Two others Cliff would want mentioned are Shelly Brinks of Arizona and Elaine Marshall Ward of Washington and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. His wife, JoAnn, (who passed away February 13, 2010), her children are Sharon Tahja and husband, Dale, of Shelton, Washington; daughter, Karen Martinez and husband, Tim of White City, Oregon; Jim Hard of Marysville, Washington; Cindy Richards and husband, David, of Trinidad, California and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. As a memorial to his late wife, JoAnn A. Marshall, who died last February 13, 2010, Cliff fondly called her "Blue Eyes". His grief for her this past year was unbearable. Because the time of death for both being so close, a memorial service will be held for Cliff and JoAnn at the McKinleyville Moose Lodge on Sutter Street. Date and hour of service will be Saturday, February 26, 2011, at 1:00 p.m. Choice of Moose Lodge was chosen because Cliff and JoAnn were members close to 40 years. They served in every Chair as well as socialized with Moose Lodge members in McKinleyville and other cities wherever they traveled. A memorial garden will be set up for Cliff and JoAnn.
